[Project kindness]

The 2023 Born This Way Foundation Advisory Board is a group of 31 young people ages 15 to 24 years old who are working to make a difference in our communities around the globe and will inform Born This Way Foundation’s work.

• As an Advisory Board member, I will continue to advise Born This Way Foundation on the challenges facing young people, inform Born This Way Foundation’s initiatives and resources to support youth wellness, and serve as ambassadors for Born This Way Foundation’s work. 

• Our cohort will play an important role in supporting programs and campaigns core to the Foundation’s goals to make kindness cool, validate the emotions of young people everywhere, and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health. 

• I also plan to share some of my experiences on Channel Kindness, a digital storytelling platform created by Born This Way Foundation that serves as a safe space for young people to share our stories of kindness, resilience, and community and take intentional kind action in support of ourselves and others.

Chris Kindness Foundation is an organization based in the Berkeley, CA community centered around awarding kindness and positivity. As the Vice President of Marketing for the Chris Kindness Foundation, I strive to raise awareness for the organization and continue promoting kindness in my academic community. How it works:

1) Nominations: It begins by looking out for acts of kindness in your community and nominating those who have impacted their community in some way, big or small. Nominate that person for a Chris Kindness Award!

2) Voting: After sorting through the hundreds of submissions at the end of each month, finalists are selected by the Chris Kindness Foundation and we ask the community to vote for their favorite act of kindness! 

3) Selections: Public voting will be finalized at the end of the month, and after the deadline, we will contact the winner(s) to verify their information! A prize of $1000 is given to the winner of each Chris Kindness Award, and we will feature each winner's story on our official social media outlets.

Through this project, I've had the chance to manage all of the social media channels for the Chris Kindness Foundation, including TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. I direct a team of interns on producing and shooting content for the foundation, and provide my own insight/experience on how the charity can grow their social media presence.
